So why do material objects make you happy for a brief moment… Maybe that’s why I spend so much money…
Well here’s something else to add to the list….
Stay tuned to find out what it is…

“sparkly purple…my god!”

i was talking to ankur the other day through text message and he was telling me how excited he feels, but doesn’t know why. i’m still not sure what he was thinking about at the time, but it meant alot to me for some reason. if you don’t know him, ankur’s someone that has always been himself more than anyone else i’ve ever met. when he likes something, he doesn’t just go out and get whatever everyone else has. he takes his time, looking for the best, the rarest, and for what he sees fit will satisfy his desire. when he doesn’t like something, he definitely makes it known.

you see, ankur has become something like a guru for most of us…he’s got the vip market known so well that if i had 30k to spend on a build, i wouldn’t hesitate a second before giving it all to him and let him order every part. right down to the type of knot the fusa would have. and besides the amazing friend he’s become to george and i, he’s been behind the lens of just about all the great pictures you see everywhere powerzamcam is. when ankur takes out his super camera, we all go out of our way to do something that would make him take a picture of us, just so we could get a text message the next day, ‘approve your comments.’

here’s to you, brother.

No sacrifice, no victory

Well some of you may know me as Gio or giovanni or even as the crazy guy always running around the powerzamcam cars trying to get stuff done. Anyways back to no sacrifice, no victory I heard this line today while watching transformers and I was amazed. it is the line I have been looking for to describe my way of thinking for a long time. Sacrifice is no stranger to powerzamcam, we have all put our bottoms on the line for eachother. Powerzamcam is not just a shop or a team its more than that its a family. Building and driving is our lifestyle.

Happy 4th of july and much love,

…long overdue.

3 months. it’s been 3 months since i last posted on here. something i told myself to do monthly turned into me not being in front of my computer for weeks at time. and when i am, it’s simply to check late fees or approve some whack ass photo kristian or david or ankur decide to send to our myspace. BUT, i am happy to say 2007 is exceeding our expectations. the powerzamcam name is building the image george and i set out to establish stronger and stronger each day. as i’m sure you’ve seen, chris orso is officially the face (and car) of 2007 for powerzamcam drifting. thanks to DUNLOP TIRES, SMAX PERFORMANCE, ENDURA-TECH, DRIVEN-ADDICTIONS.COM, XTC AUTOSTYLES, DRINKNOS.COM (much love to ernie manansala), chris was able to have his car ready (at 9am) for the d1 driver’s search. check out chris at myspace.com/chrisorso and become his friend =)

also at d1, driven by myself, was the STREET VERSION of BUDDY CLUB USA’S s13 which will be completed at powerzamcam this month and raced/shown along with it’s TWIN RACE VERSION at events all over the area. both cars are owned by mark manansala and will be representing another significant part of the powerzamcam drift team including co-owner, george zamouzakis in the powerzamcam vert and chris orso, powerzamcam driver. mark will be driving BUDDY CLUB USA’S race version, also fully built by powerzamcam. a HUGE thanks goes out to the two cars’ sponsors:

BUDDY CLUB USA
DUNLOP TIRES
BC BRIAN CROWER
AHM MACHINE SHOP
SMAX PERFORMANCE
WEAPON-R
DRIFZ WHEELS
COMPETITION CLUTCH
ENDURA-TECH
HIDE YOUR RIDE
TUNERZINE
ETNIES
DRINKNOS.COM

also premiered recently was the official BOSAL SUBARU STI, sponsored by HIDE YOUR RIDE, PERRIN PERFORMANCE, ENDURA-TECH, VOLK WHEELS, SUBARU PERFORMANCE TUNING, G-SPEC, and ZERO SPORTS. this is an important build for us because of the high quality companies that made this car possible in support of Bosal Performance, the STI will open the door to a whole new market for powerzamcam. look for it at major shows, including hot import nights 2007. thanks Bosal!

sooo, as you could see…powerzamcam is officially a name in the list of many that are forwarding drifting on the east coast. we are now noticing the people, companies, and teams of local and national notoriety that we’ve seen for years recognizing us for what we are. our family here is something that i know for a fact is unlike any other group i’ve ever seen. we grew up living and breathing the entire racing world. some of us were in shows, others strictly raced, some are new to imports, others experienced beyond comparison…but the passion and commitment we share along with our ability to try and do as much as possible for the benefit of the shop is where our heart is. that is what sets us apart from others, we are brothers all looking for one thing. to drive.

enjoy.

2 against the world…….

2May 07

So a lot has happened in the last month. First off we got chris ready in time for his debut at Englishtown and he’s been killing it on the track like he never left.

Next we had a monumental event happen on 4/24/07 which from now on will always be celebrated as DUNLOP DAY!

Thats right Dunlop is now the official tire sponsor of Powerzamcam. Thanks to the amazing help of our sponsored driver, Mark Manasala and his brother Ernie, we have finally obtained every drifters dream to have corporate sponsorship to help bring our driving skill, and experience to the next level. I want to take this time to deeply thank and show TREMENDOUS Gratitude to 2 people who have not only helped us accomplish what we could only fantasize about but who have also guided and mentored us into this business, but most of all have become 2 of our best friends and truly become like family to us all here at PZC. Mark, Ernie we love you guys and appreciate everything you’ve done for us and look forward to all the sick projects we will bring out this year and for years to come!

Another crazy development for us is the fact that for the 1st time ever on the east coast the D1 Grand Prix will hold its season opener here in Englishtown, NJ. The world’s best drifters will be competing and wowing the crowds at Raceway Park with some of the most intense drifting battles ever witnessed and both Sal and Chris will be driving in a 2 against the world battle on May 4th to try and obtain D1 Licenses in order to be at the Big event on May 5th.

Sal will be supported by of course Dunlop tires, Buddyclub, A.H.M Performance, S-Max Intercoolers, Drifz Wheels, and Nos energy drink in the Drift Diaries/Buddyclub drift twins s13 (street version) built by Powerzamcam. Sal just recently acquired the opportunity to drive this great vehicle and is very excited to not only be the man who helps build the car but also campaign it in 2007.

Chris will be supported by Dunlop tires, Endura-Tech, S-max intercoolers, XTC Autostyles, Nos energy drink, and of course Powerzamcam as it’s driver.

Sal’s car is currently being worked on here in Powerzamcam and with only 24 hours before the 1st practice session takes place we have our work cut out for us.

Chris’s car just came out of the world’s fastest paint job and custom hardtop fab due to D1 regulations that requires one. Thanks to all the hard work by Shri, owner of XTC AutoStyles, Chris is mean and green for D1. We’re currently installing his Endura-tech coilovers again with the new spring rates of 9 and 7 and his Endura-Tech Brake pads courtesy of Justin Hynes of Endura-Tech.

Make sure to come out on May 5th show us some love at both the Dunlop pit area and the Powerzamcam vendor booth. Also check out our new and updated galleries on the main website for even more pics of these amazing builds.

24 hours from now is our D-day, our pain and our joy. 2 against the world…………….

the winter is starting so that could only mean one thing: long term projects! besides rebuilding the s13 hatch, putting a full roll cage in the vert, and rb’ing an s14, we’ll also be working on other people’s cars =). unfortunately, we don’t have a picture so you’ll just have to feel a void…
