after using kelvin’s lens in europe, we really learned to appreciate a superzoom, so I decided to get the sigma 18-250mm on black friday from b&h (took about 5 hours to eventually click checkout lol). our D5000 came with two lenses, 18-55 and 55-200, so this will be much better for what we use the camera for. should be able to get some money back too. this along with the 50mm prime is perfect!
I also got michele a new case, even though she already has one haha. whatevs, it was only 4 bucks.

still pretty bummed about the wheels fading. i contacted mackin about it and all they said was since they released this drift-oriented “affordable” line, they’ve put a disclaimer on that fade will occur if a clearcoat is not added (by the buyer). so since there’s nothing left to do, i doubt they’d sell for much and really don’t want to powder coat so i’m thinking about leaving them in the sun to get some consistency. but right now, they look terrible. is what it is i guess…

in any case, this flavor of the week is played out so maybe i'll look into a little something classier. while i wasn't TOO crazy about the way the brightness looked parked, i loved the way they came out while driving. oh well...the spring cleanup started and there's a meet this weekend so hopefully the less aggressive bumpers will be the start of a new progression.
