here we go into 2007…

as i sit at our desk at 5am, listening to george fabricate his own rollcage, i am taken back by a couple things…this year, a little over one month old, is by far looking like the greatest year of my life. i lived over 23 years without ever knowing how do define myself. but now that i am going to be 25 this year, i can honestly say i know how to. it’s a strange feeling, and it either may be the fact that it’s 5am or the bad ham i had earlier, but i am finding out the only way i could be truly at ease is by living up to no one’s expectations. this shop would not exist, our cars would not be as serious as they are, and i would not be who i am now…if i lived for others. i’m not saying i don’t listen to people, we all grow by learning. what i am saying is that you have to really know what people are looking for when they speak to you. we’re meeting a lot of people in the industry including drivers, manufacturers, other tuners, and many many fans of the import game. and since we’re young and don’t come from the business background, we are learning to grow up from the streets into the industry side of things real quick. we’ve been turning around cars on a normal basis and i keep hearing good things being said about us by both our customers and those who we have yet to help out. we’re creating a buzz that i think is something jersey has not witnessed for a while when it comes to this type of service. i know we go the extra length to please our customers because we could see it on their faces when we watch them drive off and the funny thing is we haven’t been open during the regular season! but all that matters to me is that they are able to reliably drive their car to wherever they are going, whether it is school, the track, work, or just out for a nice highway run. i cannot wait for this season to begin, but i just wish it wasn’t so soon.

there’s been craziness going on in all aspects of my life since this year began and i cannot even fathom what else will come our way. as an enthusiast, i drove two skylines this week. a rwd gts and a monster rb26 r33. the latter of which was a customer who towed the car in for troubleshooting repair. driving a skyline is something very accomplishing for me. as a tuner, we’re fabricating rollcages and working on rb26 powered skylines. it does not get more defined than that about what we are doing here. as a friend, i am getting tighter with my crew than ever before. they are the reason powerzamcam exists and makes my 20 hour work days more than worth it. and for me…i now have a girlfriend. she is amazing and i can only hope my passion for this life does not make her feel like her time is wasted.

the 2007 season is starting in about 5 days. george will be driving in virginia representing powerzamcam and jersey and then there is another event the very next weekend down there. this will be the year the entire nation gets introduced to our humble little shop (maybe even internationally since d1 will be in jersey this year). i thought i’d be scared about some things when 2007 began…i am now scared of 92669341 things. much love.
